My newest addition to my R/C garage will arrive today. Unlike most of my recent acquisitions, I don’t need new batteries for this one.
- Windows 8
Installed Windows 8 in VMware to check out the consumer preview. It’s a departure to what Windows traditionally was. I am a fan of the Metro UI, but I think it will take a little getting used to.
- Online Backup
I have been using Acronis True Image Home and Online backup for the last year, and my subscription is coming to an end. I am thinking of going to a pure online backup solution. I have used Mozy Home in the past, and looked over their current offerings. I also came across SOS Online Backup. For their price point of $99.95/year, I can backup up to 5 computers, a maximum of 100GB of data, Windows or OS X based computers, and they also have iOS apps. Sounds good to me… and they have been highly rated. I think I may be making the switch.
